St Albans comprises 34 one, two and three-bedroom apartments across two neighbouring plots, alongside two ground-floor commercial units and one basement commercial unit. Haycroft Contracts completed the SFS infill and light-gauge steel top-box extension in around four weeks. Harness-based installation helped overcome restricted town-centre access and finish ahead of programme.
Klasse G-board was specified for its low weight (around 30% lighter than traditional cement boards) and easy score-and-snap cutting, which suited the installation method. Its A1 fire rating and tested water resistance also made it suitable for external sheathing.
