About the project
Queen Mary’s Gate in South Woodford, London is one of the latest projects to feature the Klasse External Sheathing Board as part of a cladding refurbishment project.
This project was originally the site of three 1960s tower blocks utilised as halls of residence for Queen Mary’s College, subsequently sold for redevelopment into private residences in 2003, the Queen Mary’s Gate complex consists of 482 units of one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments alongside a range of studios.
We have worked closely with our client, who specialises in external wall insulation, exterior cladding, and façade solutions to provide Klasse External Sheathing Board, FireFend FR Silicone sealant and KlasseFOIL tape for the refurbishment of the top floor cladding of the Queen Mary’s Gate project.
The bright green appearance of the G-board really makes this project stand out, designed to transform the building envelope construction, and its high-density design allows for easy handling, cutting and installation whilst minimising the use of power tools and resulting dust, making a safer working environment for installers.
